Cesena, Milan, India and back.

Designer Paolo Zani's story is one of creativity, entrepreneurship and all-Italian curiosity. Born in Cesena, after studying at the prestigious Domus Academy in Milan, Paolo began to look at the world. He collaborated with the Moroso brand, where he created the Warli brand in 1998. These were years of new experiences, of continuous experimentation, cultivated in frequent trips to India to gain a thorough understanding of hand-weaving techniques and the master craftsmen who have been using them for centuries.

Warli then became its own independent company in 2010, with the vision of creating not only indoor carpets, but a coherent and harmonious contemporary design. In the “laboratory of ideas” in Milan, the Outdoor, Kitchen & Bath and Furnishing Accessories divisions were born over the years. The market results arrived, the awards arrived and even young Italian designers and established international designers arrived to collaborate on Paolo’s project. And Warli’s journey is just beginning.
